During the earlier part of the pandemic Barbara couldn’t seem to paint. The images in this exhibition spring from a new found joy in painting, a personal sense of “Renewal”. There is a feeling of hope, even during these troubling times, and a continuance of personal creativity and recovery of natural balance. Without hope we are lost.
Brad did his BFA at Rhode Island School of Design and his MFA at the Alfred School of Ceramics. He has been working in clay for over 50 years. His large vessels are press molded and hand carved with glazes and clay slips applied by hand, then wood and gas fired to a timeless look of “Antiquity”. It is a renewal of work and of the artistic energy that flows from presentation.
