In 2020, just at the beginning of COVID we moved the gallery…not far…just across the street! The timing wasn’t great but the new gallery space is perfect for us. Despite the on-again/off-again nature of business during COVID, 2020 was a good year for the gallery. Safely distanced, devoted followers and first time visitors from all around the Atlantic Provinces enjoyed the changing monthly exhibitions while during off season…our wonderful ‘winter windows’ delighted passers-by.
CELEBRATING 20 YEARS
On July 1 we celebrate our 20th anniversary making us one of the longest running gallery cooperatives in the country.
We are proud of our accomplishment and grateful for your support over the years.
During these first twenty years our artists have mounted over 150 contemporary art exhibitions – featuring both abstract and figurative themes in painting, drawing, mixed media, fused glass work, wood turning, ceramics and original prints. As part of the Art Galleries Association of Lunenburg, we actively support and promote the artists and galleries of Lunenburg. The gallery has been recognized for its cultural significance by the Province of Nova Scotia.
Many of Nova Scotia’s finest contemporary artists have been amongst our membership – some for the entire 20 years!
